Privacy Policy

By Intecca Team • 8/17/2025 • Updated 8/18/2025

Effective Date: August 17, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Intecca ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website (intecca.com) and related services. Intecca is a registered name of GSP Umbrella, a company registered in New Jersey, USA, in business since 2006.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: When you register or connect your Etsy shop, we may collect your name, email address, and shop details.
  • OAuth Tokens: To connect with Etsy, we store secure authentication tokens. These tokens allow our application to act on your behalf within the scope you authorize (e.g., manage listings). We never ask for your Etsy password or your Etsy API keys.
  • Usage Data: We collect basic analytics (e.g., pages visited, features used) to improve our services.
  • Support Information: If you contact us, we may collect details you provide for customer support.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide services for your own Etsy shop, including listing management, editing tools, and AI-assisted suggestions. Specifically:

  • To connect securely to Etsy through OAuth and act only within the scopes you grant.
  • To provide and improve shop management features, without mimicking or replacing Etsy’s own core features.
  • To ensure that no part of our service diverts transactions off Etsy, circumvents Etsy fees, or interferes with Etsy’s checkout and payment systems.
  • To comply with Etsy’s API Terms of Use and other legal obligations.

3. Data Storage and Retention

  • OAuth tokens and shop data are stored securely and retained only as long as necessary to provide the service.
  • Etsy content (e.g., listings) is cached only temporarily, consistent with Etsy’s API Terms (no longer than 6 hours for listing data, 24 hours for other data).
  • We will delete or anonymize personal data upon request or when no longer needed for our services.

4. Compliance with Etsy API Terms

We are committed to full compliance with Etsy’s API policies. In particular:

  • We never ask for or store Etsy passwords or API keys. Authentication is handled exclusively through Etsy’s official OAuth 2.0 flow.
  • We do not mimic or attempt to replace Etsy’s core site functions, and we never route buyers or sellers off Etsy’s platform for transactions.
  • We do not support or encourage mass-produced items. Our tools are intended for editing and managing your own Etsy-permitted listings only.
  • We never scrape Etsy’s site or use internal or legacy endpoints. We only connect through the official Etsy Open API v3.
  • We do not collect member IDs, passwords, or other unnecessary information. Access is limited strictly to the minimum scopes required for the requested features.
  • We do not charge for features that Etsy provides free of charge. Our services are value-added tools layered on top of Etsy’s platform.
  • We do not use Etsy content (other than your own shop data, which we process only to provide the service to you) to train machine learning models, create analytics, or build datasets. Any AI-powered features work solely on your authorized shop data. We will only use Etsy content for broader training or analytics if Etsy has expressly granted written permission.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your information. We may share data only with:

  • Service Providers: Vendors or contractors who assist us in operating our services, bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal Obligations: When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
  • Etsy: As part of the integration, information flows between your shop and Etsy’s platform according to their API policies.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption, access controls, secure storage) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices

  • You may revoke our access to your Etsy shop at any time through Etsy’s account settings.
  • You may request deletion of your account and related data by contacting us (see Section 9).

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
